APGA Publicity Committee

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, engaged in a series of significant events yesterday, demonstrating the party's deep commitment to cultural tradition, social charity, and political solidarity within Anambra State.

The day commenced with a solemn mass held at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Igwe R.N. Iloh (Igwe Ugochimalueze Ise Nise) in Nise. Chief Ezeokenwa’s attendance at this sacred service served as a prelude to the community's esteemed New Yam Festival (Iwa Ji), reflecting APGA’s profound respect for the custodians of the region's culture and heritage.

The New Yam Festival remains a vital cultural celebration, deeply rooted in preserving the rich heritage and traditions of the people. Chief Ezeokenwa's participation highlighted the party's role as a staunch advocate for the preservation and promotion of local identity and customary practices.

Following the spiritual and cultural observance in Nise, the APGA National Chairman attended a fundraising event hosted by His Lordship, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka. The fundraiser was aimed at supporting the construction of an Orphanage and Welfare Home for the elderly and aged, a noble project initiated by the Catholic Diocese of Awka.

Chief Ezeokenwa expressed his profound gratitude to the Church for its compassionate initiative, which seeks to provide critical care and support for society's most vulnerable members. He publicly commended the project as a testimony to the community's shared values of charity and social responsibility.

The Chairman described his participation in the fundraiser as a blessing and a meaningful occasion. His presence at the event reinforced APGA's alignment with community-driven humanitarian initiatives and its support for institutions that work to strengthen the social fabric of Anambra State.

The day's engagements culminated at the Christ the King Catholic Church Field in Ekeagu Abatete, where Chief Ezeokenwa joined the Homecoming Ceremony of Hon. Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Anthony Ibezi. The event dynamically transformed into a Mega Rally in support of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s bid for a second term in the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial election.

The rally featured a large and enthusiastic gathering of party faithful, supporters, and community leaders. Chief Ezeokenwa addressed the crowd, rallying steadfast support for the APGA governorship candidate, Professor Soludo, while also celebrating the homecoming of a prominent party stalwart, Hon. Dr. Ibezi.

Throughout these diverse gatherings—from a royal palace to a church fundraiser to a political rally—a single, unifying fact was overwhelmingly clear: the deep and enduring connection between the people of Anambra and the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
